1. Operation Theatre
Our sprawling operation theatres cover an entire floor. We have ensured that the design allows continuous and regular circulation of patients along with appropriate acclimatization based on the needs of the occupants. There is filtered ventilation in all the rooms including the passageways. The space is divided into two areas the operation theatre and the recovery room. Besides the two we also have an endoscopic room. All medical history is backed up in the clinic database and can be accessed by authorized personnel from within the operation theatre itself.
We only use the best and most advanced technology in each operation theatre. Our equipment includes:

Sigmoidoscopy

Endoscopy

8. Anorectal Manometry
This test is performed to understand and measure the contractibility of the anus and the rectum for patients with constipation and incontinence. Anorectal manometry evaluates the pressure of the sphincter muscles in the anus, sensitivity of the rectum and the neural reflexes of the patient. In this technique a balloon is put in the rectum to cause pressure in the rectum and a pressure sensor is placed in the inner anal sphincter to measure the rectosphincteric reflex.
What make s the anorectal manometry unique is the ability to identify any muscular defects and also assess functional weakness of the internal and external sphincters involved in bowel control. It takes a single day to perform. The readings regarding the patient’s pelvic floor status is taken from the electrodes connected to a simple tube like transducer inserted into the rectum. The readings are then transmitted on the screen where the surgeon can understand and analyse the findings.
9. Colon Transit Studies
The colorectal industry is so vast and every day we hear of new lifestyle diseases that are affecting people. Under Dr. Parameshwar CM, SIICP was the first to introduce colonic transit studies. Colonic transit studies helps in ensuring accurate medical diagnosis of patients suffering from severe constipation. If patients cannot be cured with mere diet modification they may need some medication to increase their colonic motion.
Through this method radio opaque pellets are ingested into the patient and a series of or delayed radiographs of patients are taken to count the number of pellets left in the colon or the frequency and speed of the bowel movements.
